Eavesdrop on a spontaneous conversation between two entrepreneurial public servants: John Fetterman, the tattooed, 39-year old mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, and Bill Hudnut, the venerated four-term mayor of Indianapolis. Nationally known Indiana author Scott Russell Sanders will moderate this dialogue on how we create and re-create inspiring places. Audience Q&A will follow and the program will conclude with a sonic exploration of space, featuring multiple choirs in a “surround sound” performance of polychoral repertoire in various styles. Participating ensembles include Broadway United Methodist Church, Chancel Choir; Butler University Chorale; Fairview Presbyterian Church, Chancel Choir; IUPUI, University Choir; Indianapolis Brass Choir; Northminster Presbyterian Church, Chancel Choir; Second Presbyterian Church, Sanctuary Choir; St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Chancel and Children’s Choirs; along with Charles Manning, organist for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and Congregation Beth-El Zedeck. View event details below for a complete repertoire list. Presented by Spirit & Place. Questions? Call 317-278-3623 or e-mail festival@iupui.edu.
