Bring your favorite dish for a potluck dinner and discussion of how food influences places, builds community, and boosts economic development. The main course will be provided by the Winter Farmers Market and prepared by Neal Brown, former chef of L’Explorateur. Stories will be shared by Janine Betsey, executive director of King Park Area Development Corporation; Laura Henderson, founder and market manager of the Winter Farmers Market; Matthew Jose, founder and owner of Big City Farms CSA; and Marc McAleavey, evaluation and documentation manager for Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center. Small group discussion will be facilitated by Gail Payne, owner of The Goods: Thoughtful Marketing, Authentic Living, and the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center.
