Grab a tray, get in line, choose a balanced lunch, and learn about the policy behind this school lunches, from deciding what goes on the tray to options for growing healthy foods on school grounds.

Dr. Gil Liu, Indiana University Health; Dena Bond, R.D., and Steven Gudorf, Indianapolis Public Schools; and Ginny Roberts, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) will present information on nutrition, school health policy, and healthy hand-grown alternatives.

Following the presentations, take a tour of the on-site, student-run garden and visit the "Garden on the Go" fruit and vegetable truck, which will be on location for this event. Participants will receive a packet that includes resources for growing their own gardens. Learn about KIB’s efforts and sign up for future volunteering projects.
