Event Description:

Science shows that the greatest threat to health is physical inactivity; however, many don’t have access to public parks, trails, or gyms. Join a panel of experts to discuss how we can encourage a greater availability of exercise in our community.

Learn about Indy’s accessibility to the health and fitness of people of all ages, physical and emotional conditions, ethnicities, or economic statuses. Discover how to become an advocate, as an individual or an organization, for a healthier Indianapolis environment. Gather information to help you tackle this issue through school boards, zoning boards, town councils, ad hoc coalitions, and more.

Presented by American College of Sports Medicine; Health by Design, an Alliance for Health Promotion Initiative; and IUPUI, IU School of Physical Education and Tourism Management, Dept. of Kinesiology. Questions? Call 317-637-9200 or email info@acsm.org.
