Event Description: Whether you are from “here” or “there,” risk is inherent in the experience of both newcomer and long-time resident. Meet new people, experience what it feels like to be the “welcomer” and the “welcomed,” and learn how to minimize anxiety and discomfort to build a welcoming ethos in communities large and small. You'll leave with an action toolkit to help you create a welcoming environment in your neighborhood or community.

Presented by Welcoming Indianapolis (of the Immigrant Welcome Center), Center for Interfaith Cooperation, Christian Theological Seminary, First Baptist Church of IndianapolisProvocate, and Second Presbyterian Church. 317-223-0933 or sjohnson@immigrantwelcomecenter.org.
