Event Description:

Risk may play an obvious role in military service but what happens when veterans return home? During a panel featuring award-winning writer and veteran Tim O'Brien and moderated by Steve Inskeep of NPR's Morning Edition, veterans will discuss the risk of joining the military and participating in combat as well as the risks they must take to ask for help with combat-related psychological injuries and other types of risks. Veterans who have reached out to the arts for healing will discuss these questions during a panel featuring award-winning writer Tim O’Brien and moderated by Steve Inskeep of NPR's Morning Edition. Q&A to follow.

Check out the "veterans and the arts" resource fair in the lobby and the international Combat Paper Project across the hall.

This event is part of VonnegutFest 2013.
