Event Description:

More than 170 intrepid Indianapolis citizens took the challenge: to gauge their tolerance for risk, and to complete some assignments based on their risk level: low, moderate or high.  Come to an unusual venue—a Latino grocery store and taqueria on Indy’s Far Eastside—and watch as participants show images from their adventures, discuss their experiences, and receive custom-designed maps visualizing their risk profiles!  [Free snacks for all].

The adventure assignments consist of a variety of risks intended to stretch our understanding of ourselves, each other, and our place, Indianapolis:

LOW RISK
1.    Communicate with someone who doesn't speak the same language
2.    Try a dish you've never had a restaurant you've never been to before, or go to a grocery store and try a fruit or vegetable you've never heard of
3.    Make a flyer about your day and post it in a public place

MODERATE RISK
1.    Make a video of yourself dancing and post it to social media
2.    Interview a homeless person
3.    Take the bus line to a neighborhood you've never been to before

HIGH RISK
1.    Go to a congregation (place of worship) you are unfamiliar with
2.    Get up and give a speech at the ArtsGarden (or any shopping mall)
3.    Panhandle
