Art has the power to shape how we see each other and the world. Immigration is a topic that greatly impacts our community and country, but is often distilled into one image or stereotype. This exhibit brings the human element back into this issue by bonding two groups: local high school art students and foreign-born individuals. During October, the pairs meet and delve into the topic of immigration and their personal stories. They will then create art based on this exchange.

View artwork made by the pairs and video documentation of the process. Hear directly from the participants about their experience and what they learned. Create your own art focused on heritage and immigration.

Presented by Indianapolis Art Center and Immigrant and Refugee Service Corps with support from Prizm Art Supply. 317-255-2464 or
