Event Description:

View the documentary, "Child Advocates Undoing Racism," and learn about one organization’s efforts to shift power dynamics within the juvenile justice and foster care system.

What does it mean to “undo racism” and why would Child Advocates, an organization that advocates for abused and neglected children, be engaged in this work? Knowing the role systemic racism plays in the lives of many of the children it serves, Child Advocates, Inc. has been working with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond since 2010 to host Undoing Racism workshops in Indianapolis. More than 2,000 individuals have participated in the program. This film explores that journey and impact. Attendees will also participate in a conversation focused on their own beliefs and values around race and racism.

Walk-ins welcome, but RSVPs encouraged by Nov. 5

Presented by Child Advocates, Inc. and Praxis Media Group.
