Event Description:

Film screening highlighting the stories of women who have experienced incarceration, followed by small group discussions hosted over s’mores!

Bellfound Farm and Project Lia are two emerging and innovative organizations working to empower women who have been involved in the criminal justice system. They're building a collaborative programmatic relationship between their two organizations, working together to serve women coming home from incarceration. This event invites the community to get to know women who have been incarcerated through a film, discussion … and s’mores! Let’s come together to discuss novel ideas surrounding incarceration, wraparound services, and the opportunities women re-entering their communities need. Imagine a city where women exiting the legal system do not feel like outcasts, are not villainized, can have support from the community, gainful employment, and access to mental/spiritual health services -- that’s certainly revolutionary in action as well as an evolution of mindsets!

This event is capped at no more than 50 participants and has sold out as of 11/5/19.

Bellfound Farm Marketplace has approximately 30 parking spaces. Please carpool if possible or use IndyGo! Bus #16 stops directly in front of the Marketplace. While the event is indoors, this is a working farm! Please wear appropriate shoes, dress warmly, and call ahead with any accessibility needs.

Presented by Bellfound Farm and Project Lia.
