Event Description:

An exhibition and panel discussion exploring the art, theory, and practice of boycott: how small changes in behavior can drive systemic change and achieve justice.

View the traveling exhibition, “Boycott! The Art of Economic Activism,” which features posters from more than 20 boycotts, including the Montgomery Bus Boycott; United Farm Workers’ grape and lettuce boycott; divestment from South Africa; the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS); and many others. A panel conversation the evening of November 7 will address theological and faith-based approaches to boycott, along with the historical roles of religious institutions in waging boycott. The discussion will include a selection of Muslim, Christian, and Jewish views on boycott and the r/evolutions boycott can spur.
