Tina Jones

Tina completed a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences at Michigan Technological University. In somewhat recent years she completed her master’s degree in landscape architecture at Ball State University.  She currently works for Indy Parks as a park planner with a focus on historic landscapes and greenways.


She wrote the first Cultural Landscape Report for George Rogers Clark National Historic Site, co-authored the Phase 1: Historic Designed Landscapes in Indiana Report, the National Park Service’s Multiple Property Cover Document for the Fort Wayne Historic Park & Boulevard System, as well as the 2003 Indianapolis Park & Boulevard System Historic District Nomination.  She has given presentations on the American city planning genius, George Kessler; master native landscape designer, Jens Jensen; historic residential landscape design; and of course, the 1909 Indianapolis Park and Boulevard System. She is currently assisting in organizing events for the 2010 Centennial celebration of IndyParks.
