J. Gary Sparks

J. Gary Sparks is a Jungian Analyst in practice from 1982 to present. He obtained his Diploma in Analytical Psychology in 1982 from the C.G. Jung Institute, Zürich, Switzerland. He also holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, 1975, from the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, California, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, 1970, from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. His professional interests include: Minoan iconography, the state of feminine consciousness today; the relation between the inner and outer world, spirit and matter; the psychology of social problems; technology and society; the image of the city; the Book of Job; the healthy purpose of darkness, depression, failure and despair; the transformation of God; the relation between modern physics and psychology; teaching Jungian psychology; the psychological importance of history; contemporary literature; myth and fairy tale; the nature, development and use of the creative imagination; the symbolic mind.
