Jane Hagenauer

Irvington resident Jane Hagenauer learned basic gardening, composting, canning, and frugal cooking at her mother's side. Her interest in these subjects has continued to grow, leading her to take a Master Gardener course through the Purdue Extension program, as well as a voracious reader on the subjects of eating traditional, whole, local foods; organic gardening; supporting small farms; and living simply. As chief cook in her family of five, Jane is concerned not only that the meals she prepares are healthful and economical, but that they also appeal to five diverse tastes. Jane also believes, as a tenet of her personal faith, that we have a responsibility for good stewardship-of our finances, of our bodies, and of our earthly resources.
