Group: Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Israeli Folk Dance

Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation (IHC) is the largest Reform Jewish congregation in the state of Indiana. Established in 1856, IHC's mission is to, "Sustain and build a progressive Jewish community through study, worship and social justice." Music and dance are also an integral part of holiday, festival and family events at our congregation. It is part of the Jewish tradition to celebrate with joy through dance and music. Alix Litwack has been a member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation since she was seven. She has studied Israeli Folk Dancing at the Fred Berk Institute in North Carolina and at Goldman Camp. Alix has taught folk dancing for 34 years to people of all ages and loves to share this religious/ethnic tradition with everyone.
