Rodney Allen

Rodney Allen is the editor of Conversations with Kurt Vonnegut (which features twenty-two of Vonnegut’s major interviews), and the author of Understanding Kurt Vonnegut, a critical analysis of Vonnegut’s novels concluding with Bluebeard (1987). Allen earned his Ph.D. in American Literature from Duke University, and taught at North Carolina State University and the University of Mississippi before teaching for twenty-eight years at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, where he was Chair of Humanities before retiring this year. He is now a member of the Board of Directors of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library, currently serving as its vice president.
