Jenni White

Jenni White (director) has a bachelor’s in theatre from UIndy, a master’s in public service administration, and is currently the transitional services director for Coburn Place Safe Haven. In the summer of 1997, Jenni was a member of the Chautauqua Conservatory Theater Company (NY) and trained with professors from The Juilliard School. She is also a worship associate at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis (UUI).  With a theatrical resume of over 60 shows to her credit, she is THRILLED to be working on Karen Brody’s BIRTH.  Other directing credits include The Good Body, The Vagina Monologues, Godspell, Visiting Mr. Green, and Lonely Planet.  Her birth story?  Jenni was induced, had an epidural (too soon) and was threatened with a c-section, but she vaginally delivered her miracle baby – all 9 lbs. of him!  If she were to do it again?  Home birth, in water with candles, music and her Circle.  While she accepts this will never happen, Jenni is ever-grateful for this miraculous gathering of women; to this process – for helping her come to acceptance; to Jim – for asking her to be a part of it; and especially for her wife, Casey – thank you for believing in me.
