Group: Indiana Clergy Play Group

The Indiana Clergy Play Group consists of five pastors who are currently serving churches in Indiana. The group is researching the concept of Play as a Spiritual Practice, specifically looking at ways to incorporate Play into the life of the church.

  • Rev. Dr. Carolyn Scanlan Holmes is the senior minister of Avon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
  • Rev. Kim King is the Associate Minister of Roberts Park United Methodist Church, and a licensed marriage and family therapist.
  • Rev. Gale Stutz is the pastor of Franklin Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indianapolis.
  • Rev. Doug Grant is the minister of Floyds Knobs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
  • Rev. Andrew Holmes is the Regional Coordinator for Messy Church, a new play-filled program for the whole church which comes from the UK. He is also the designer of the 'ARC project' in the northeast of England which is a church whose worship and ministry is centered around playing in a custom built biblically-themed building.
