Elisabeth Hoegberg

Elisabeth  Hoegberg

Elisabeth Honn Hoegberg holds a Ph.D. in music theory and an M.A. in musicology from Indiana University, and B.M. in music history and piano from Illinois State University. At Indiana University, she studied voice with Paul Elliott and Roger Havranek, and served as research assistant to Thomas Binkley in his last years with the Early Music Institute. Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Indianapolis, where she is assistant professor of music, Dr. Hoegberg held appointments at Oberlin Conservatory and Indiana University.

At the University of Indianapolis, Dr. Hoegberg teaches music theory and class piano, including courses in counterpoint and sight singing. Her research interests include history of theory and theory pedagogy. She is also active as a chamber musician.
