Juliet King

Juliet  King Currently, Juliet L. King, MA, ATR-BC, LPC is Assistant Professor and Director of the inaugural Graduate Art Therapy program at Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, Indiana. Professor King is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology for the Indiana University School of Medicine. She has spent the last sixteen years as a clinician, administrator, and professor of art therapy education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Juliet has worked extensively with children and adolescents with behavioral disorders and has direct clinical experience that includes the adult forensic, rehabilitation, and psychiatric inpatient and outpatient populations. Juliet is engaged in research that involves the connections between art therapy treatment and intervention within a neuroscience context, helping to understand the impact of art therapy interventions on the brain and provide information for healthcare practitioners to understand the value of symbolic non-verbal expression and communication.
