Dr. Mercy Obeime

Dr. Mercy  Obeime Dr. Mercy Obeime is the Director of Community & Global Health at Franciscan St. Francis Health, Medical Director of the Franciscan St. Francis SYMPAQ Clinic, Director of Medical Education at the Marion County Public Health Department, Assistant Clinical Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine Dr. Obeime graduated from the University of Benin in Nigeria in 1988. She started working at Franciscan St.Francis Hospital after completing a clinical genetics fellowship and family medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in 1996. In 1997, Dr. Obeime helped establish a clinic for the uninsured and became the first Medical Director of the Franciscan St. Francis Neighborhood Health Center. Dr. Obeime speaks locally, nationally, and internationally advocating for patients on issues relating to quality and access to health care services for the working poor and the uninsured. The public television station in Indiana (WFYI) has featured Dr. Obeime in two documentaries, The Hope Givers, and Into Nigeria. In 2012, Indianapolis monthly recognized Dr. Obeime as one of Indianapolis Top Doctors in family medicine.
