Dr. Robert L. Russell, Sr.

Dr. Robert L. Russell, Sr., is an internal medicine and geriatrics sub specialty-trained physician. He is a post-acute care specialist and in-house physician for the Lane House in Crawfordsville and for Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette. He is the Medical Director of the Bridge Assisted Living at Westside Garden Plaza here in Indianapolis. He is the president elect for the 2018 Indiana Medical Directors Association, in which he currently services as an active board member. He is also an active member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Council and Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter.

Prior to beginning his medical career, he conducted lab-based Alzheimer's disease research which was published, and it began his personal interest in the disease. This eventually lead him to volunteering for the Alzheimer's Association while completing his fellowship training. He is an advocate for elderly care and a passionate presenter and speaker on topics related to Alzheimer's disease, elder health literacy and care giver burden.
