Alan Witchey

Alan Witchey is the Executive Director for the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) of Greater Indianapolis. He has been in management roles in the nonprofit sector for 15 years. Prior to CHIP, Alan worked for the United Way of Central Indiana, the Orange County AIDS Services Foundation, and The Damien Center.

Alan has strong experience in coalition and collaboration building, executive leadership, strategic planning, curriculum development, training and presenting, grant making, and fundraising. He is an active volunteer in the community and serves on the Indiana Commission on Community Service and Volunteerism, which awards Indiana AmeriCorps grants.

He has presented at many national and statewide conferences, including the National Conference for Volunteerism and Service, the Governor’s Conference on Nonprofit Capacity Building, and through the Central Indiana Nonprofit Training Center and the Leadership United Board Training Series.
He earned his Master Degree in Fine Arts from Antioch University Los Angeles and a Bachelor Degree in English and Speech Communications from Indiana University Bloomington.
