2018 Spirit & Place Festival

The 2018 Spirit & Place Festival celebrated, explored, challenged and reflected on the meaning behind “intersection” in its 23rd year. The Spirit & Place Festival is a collaborative festival of independently organized events that use the arts, religion, and/or humanities as tools for shaping individual and community life. The festival is always 10 days long and event partners, formats, and locations change with each festival.

Please explore the events created in 2018 to get a sampling of what the Spirit & Place is like and check back in August of 2019 to see what's planned for our our R/EVOLUTION themed festival!

Should I RSVP to an event?
Most festival events will gladly welcome you as a walk-in but we strongly encourage RSVPs to all events so that our partners can best plan for your needs.

Are the events accessible?
We welcome people of all abilities to participate in Spirit & Place Festival events. Most events are free and located in ADA compliant facilities. For questions about accessibility or to discuss accommodations, please contact the event hosts, festival@iupui.edu, or 317-274-2555.
