2017 Spirit & Place Festival
The 2017 Spirit & Place Festival occurred November 3-12, 2017. More than 110 community partners created 37 events, with 59 occurrences, in 32 venues across the city. From art exhibitions and dance performances to family-events and lectures, 2017 was truly a powerful year!

Application guidelines for 2018 will be posted in December 2017/January 2018. The 2018 application deadline is Friday, April 20. Click here to learn more about the 2018 theme, INTERSECTION.

How do I navigate the online listings? Past events from the 2017 festival are listed below in date order and by title. Want to check things out by geographic location, instead? Click here.

I have a visual impairment and the online listings are difficult to read. Click here to download a text-only version of the Event Guide in 16pt font.

Should I RSVP to an event?
Most festival events will gladly welcome you as a walk-in but we strongly encourage RSVPs to all events so that our partners know how many guests to plan for. (Hey, we want you to have a chair! Tell us you're coming, if you can.)
