Event Description:

Flutists of all ages and skills levels will gather to share their talents with each other in a magical day of intergenerational music-making during Indy’s first Flute Fest. Enjoy a master class with Walfrid Kujala, member of the Chicago Symphony from 1954 to 2001, and an introduction to Native American flute with performing artist James Pellerite, former faculty member at Indiana University School of Music. The Lexington (Ky.) Flute Choir will also perform and lead a reading session with all participants. Admission is $15 in advance/online, or $20 at the door for Greater Indianapolis Flute Club members and $30 for non-members. Fee includes a ticket to that evening’s Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra concert. Guests/non-players may attend the festival and concert for $15. The Kujala master class is $30 plus membership fee.
