Barry Krauss

Event Description:

Both amateur and professional athletes are often granted an elevated social status. How can high school athletes move beyond this place of privilege to contribute to their communities? Barry Krauss, who made football history as a collegiate and NFL player, is a living example. During his career as a professional athlete, he helped children suffering from abuse, and his retirement years are filled with community service. Krauss will talk with high school students and parents about how they can make a difference in the lives of people living in their communities. Following the presentation and Q&A, trained teens will facilitate discussion groups to help students identify specific actions. Admission is free, but reservations are required by November 2. Presented by the Hamilton County Community Tennis Association and NFL Alumni, Inc.-Indianapolis Chapter.
