Event Description:

Don't miss this entertaining and enlightening evening of Bible-stories-with-a-twist. Barbara McBride-Smith, winner of the 2000 Circle of Excellence Award from the National Storytelling Network, applies her Texan twang to the women of the Good Book, telling their stories with respectful irreverence. She “countrifies” these familiar characters with southern sass, resulting in side-splitting, unorthodox tales that retain their scriptural truths about inspiring generosity. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door and through Storytelling Arts of Indiana (ellen@storytellingarts.org or www. storytellingarts.org). Presented by St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Storytelling Arts of Indiana, and YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.
