Event Description: Help explore how best to implement the 2009 Spirit & Place Festival theme, Inspiring Places. What are the critical issues about place that the festival should address? How might we build awareness for and celebrate important places in our communities and neighborhoods? What is our sense of place here in central Indiana? How does technology and globalization impact our sense of place? How do the arts, religion, and the humanities contribute to a meaningful sense of place? Join Spirit & Place Director Pam Blevins Hinkle in a Café Conversation that explores these and other questions. Get your creative juices flowing, explore synergies with new organizations, and identify potential program partners. Now is the time to start planning! Free. Get lunch nearby and stay for the afternoon workshop, Creating Imaginative Spirit & Place Programs. Presented by Spirit & Place. Questions? Call 317-278-3623 or e-mail festival@iupui.edu.
