The showing of the provocative film, Dr. Ehrlich’s Magic Bullet, an exhibit featuring the Central Indiana Hospital Old Pathology Building, and a panel discussion with faculty members from the IUPUI Medical Humanities—Health Studies Program, explore the contributions of laboratories past and present and science’s dual role as supporter and opponent of social, political, and religious ideals. Panelists include William Schneider, director, Medical Humanities Program and Department of History professor; Emily Beckman, assistant scholar, Medical Humanities Program, and Film Studies; and Richard Gregory, adjunct professor, director, Student Research, Oral Health Research Institute, IU School of Dentistry, IUPUI.
