Dr. Marcus Rediker, history department chair at the University of Pittsburgh, leads his audience through a historical exploration of the horrific slave trade from ship owners to builders, captains to crews, enslaved to abolitionists, and highlights important comparisons to modern human trafficking. Dr. Modupe Labode, public scholar of African American History and Museum Studies at IUPUI, as well as Julie Viellieu Thompson and Laura Troiano of the House of Dialogue, will also join the conversation.
