Barry Krauss

Barry Krauss was the #1 NFL draft in 1979 and a central figure in the “Goal Line Stand” in the 1979 Sugar Bowl against Penn State, a play which ESPN.com voted the greatest college bowl game and one of the top ten plays of all time. As an NFL player, Barry received the Ed Block Courage Award and the Brian Piccolo Annual Memorial Award.

 

Barry’s commitment to others continued after his NFL retirement. He currently serves as the president of the NFL Alumni—Indianapolis Chapter voluntarily to raise funds for youth-oriented causes guided by the motto “Caring for Kids.”
