Group: One Paycheck Away

Housed out of Lockerbie United Methodist Church in downtown Indianapolis, this monthly newsletter is written by people who are homeless for everyone in the city. As quoted from their website, “One Paycheck Away is a helpful voice in the city seeking real solutions for real people who, at some time, find themselves homeless but not hopeless. One Paycheck Away was proposed because of the old adage that proclaims many people are just "one paycheck away" from being homeless. After hearing the name suggested, one of our younger members added, "that's right...most of us are only one paycheck away from a home of our own." With this fresh point of view providing a perspective from which the cliché can be viewed from either end, the name was unanimously adopted.”
