Group: The April Show

The April Show, entering its tenth year, is a unique one-night only annual exhibition featuring the works of Indianapolis Artists who have overcome daunting obstacles. The purpose of The April Show is threefold:

To Celebrate the artistic spirit and to recognize its ability to overcome all manner of barriers, such as homelessness, poverty, and illness…

To build a community event utilizing the voluntary passions of that community, eschewing traditional external funding sources and other modes of “paid altruism”…

To bring together people and art representing a wide variety of backgrounds and origins – in other words, to assemble folks who likely would not otherwise have the opportunity to meet in a setting to which they’d likely not otherwise have been exposed.
