Mike Oles

Mike Oles is the lay leader of Lockerbie Central United Methodist Church, a small, progressive, and activist church located in downtown Indianapolis. He is a graduate of Earlham College and a former union organizer for low wage, healthcare workers. Mike is a founding member of One Paycheck Away, a newsletter about being homeless in Indianapolis, and Midwest Voices for Congo, a movement organized to bring awareness about the unfolding humanitarian disaster in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, Mike currently lives in Broad Ripple and works for his family-owned excavation company. He is married to Katy Baily-Oles, a social worker with the Marion County Health Department.
