Brian D. McLaren will join film, television, and music video producer Julie Dash and author/essayist Richard Rodriguez in a spontaneous chat on Exploring Imagination during Spirit & Place’s free signature event, the annual Public Conversation (ticket info).

McLaren is an author, songwriter, and founding pastor of Cedar Ridge Community Church in Spencerville, Maryland. He is a frequent guest on news media programs, including “Larry King Live,” “Religion and Ethics Newsweekly,” and “Nightline.” His innovative work and ideas have been covered in Time (where he was listed as one of America’s 25 most influential evangelicals), Christianity Today, The Washington Post, and many other print media. He has written 16 books including Everything Must Change: Jesus, Global Crisis, and Revolution of Hope (2007), A Generous Orthodoxy (2004), and A New Kind of Christian (2001), among others.
