So how do we view our bodies? As temples of holiness or as prisons for the soul?  As burdens to be borne or as gifts to be celebrated? While religious and spiritual traditions offer a number of answers to this question, each of us also answers it in how we live our daily lives. And sometimes our answers are more evident in what we do, rather than than what we might say in response to the question.

This event will offer a panel discussion of three experts--Sara Snow, Ralph Reiff, and Gene Harker--who offer practical advice on ways we can honor the body in our daily living. Dr. Harker is a physician, psychologist, and professor, as well as author of PausePoints: The Mindful Pursuit of Health and Well-Being. Ralph Reiff is a licensed athletic trainer and Director of Sports Medicine, and Sports Medicine and Sports Performance at St. Vincent’s Hospital of Indianapolis. Sara Snow, in addition to hosting the television show, "Get Fresh with Sara Snow", is also the author of Sara Snow’s Fresh Living. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Richard Baker, theologian-in-residence and assoicate pastor for Christian education at Second Presbyterian Church.
